The COACH ROMO Mission
COACH ROMO seeks to grow a world uplifted and whole presence-expanded by honoring and nurturing every soul's unique purpose, gifts, and talents.
It is through this mission of honoring the unique gifts within our inherent differences that we will then bring more love, understanding, opportunity, solutions, creativity and presence to the collective whole.
We believe this matters.
I believe this matters.
And we aren't messing around here. We are in this for a BIG reason.
We seek to end human cruelty. We seek to inspire and work toward a just world where domination, marginalization, coercion, and manipulation have NO place.
Yes, we are aiming that big.
These are high-minded mission statements, no doubt. But they are the blood in the veins of Coach Romo and informs everything I do and what we do. It is what wakes us up every day excited to be here.
And, if you imagine such a world with us, we hope you will join us.
We can't do it alone.
We also know we are FULLY HUMAN - vulnerable, flawed, and imperfect - so no doubt it will be messy at times. We are okay with that. I am okay with that. We know there is no other way for real growth to happen. (In fact, I anticipate that there will be a lot of mess along the way.) This is a good thing. Mess means things are in a state of change - and infinite possibilities abound. Messes are hopeful.
Sadly, so many of us have been socialized to see messes as shameful failures. The result is that some folks won't make a needed change because they are fearful of making a mess - or they are unwilling to leave things out long enough to be present with the mess long enough to learn what it is there to show you. Or, conversely, others will get overwhelmed by the volume or complexity of the mess and will do all sorts of things to avoid going where the mess is. Both solutions forget that messes are opportunities that need you to be present in order to learn from them and they also need you to DO something with them to have them feed your life.
Either way, we lose out on something precious. We lose so much growth and opportunity believing we are meant to look orderly and put together all of the time. But we are not figurines meant for a display case. We are human beings - and we are meant to LIVE.
My hope is that Coach Romo will be a place where we all can learn to honor ourselves in all of our forms - and have a place for the mess to be intentionally cultivated until things find their meaningful place and purpose. I want Coach Romo to be a place where experiments and playful adventures can take place and where we get to learn from it all.
AND I want Coach Romo to be a place of LIGHT. Of JOY. Of INSPIRATION. I hope much of the process here at Coach Romo will be FUN. My life was so serious and so heavy for so long... I believe we can do this another way. I want all of our lives to be delicious and juicy, round and whole - I believe our lives are meant to be LIVED FULLY.
If there is one thing my life has taught me - it is that when one brings positive intention and full presence to a mess - beautiful things happen. New ideas form. New paths are forged. And life's vibrancy expands for everyone open and willing to take that journey.
I hope you will join me. I can't wait to see the world we can create!
Love,
Rebecca

As an advanced certified life coach trained in ICF standards, with a focus and value placed on inclusive and positive psychology practices, my programs, trainings, and coaching packages are designed trusting in your innate wisdom and autonomy.
You are the keeper of your life and are responsible for your comfort and care. Each of these services are for you to take and apply, or to dismiss if not for you, at your own discretion. While I am excited to provide you with some motivation, encouragement, facilitation of your own wisdom, exposure to coaching and training processes, and provide opportunities to try new methods - YOU will always be the keeper of your story and your truths, and the right to choose what is right for you within your context. As it should be.
Every course, training, and virtual space is designed with respect for your autonomy and innate wisdom. My hope is to help you optimize best practices for YOU - to honor your unique path, facilitate your life's vision, identify your strengths and desires, overcome obstacles, and move towards your most meaningful life goals.

As a practicing psychologist for over 2 decades, I retired from my practice with extensive training in the workings of the human mind and in human behavior. I formally studied the practice of clinical psychology with an emphasis in the study of diversity and intersectionality. From there, I went on for advanced training in psychoanalysis, and continued professional study in diversity, feminist psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology.
I have been trained in polyvagal, DBT, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic psychoanalysis, and interpersonal neurobiology treatment approaches and techniques.
My passions led me to specializing in interpersonal trauma, particularly adult survivors of childhood sexual and physical abuse, and adults with ADHD.
I have a passion for exploring a broad range of spiritual and religious practices and how they inform (or harm) our collective well-being.

I am a fierce advocate for LGBTQIA rights, social justice, and for reproductive justice. After years of working with individuals who have been robbed of their dignity and worth, I am insistent that COACH ROMO spaces are safe and brave spaces for people to be their full selves. And that includes all forms of racial, sexual, and gender identity - and with respect for one's bodily autonomy and all reproductive choices.
I also conduct trainings on reproductive dignity within expansively minded spiritual and religious communities to further our connection to our bodies, minds, and spirits in all of their forms and contexts.
