As an advanced certified life coach trained in ICF standards, with a focus and value placed on inclusive and positive psychology practices, my programs, trainings, and coaching packages are designed trusting in your innate wisdom and autonomy.  

You are the keeper of your life and are responsible for your comfort and care.  Each of these services are for you to take and apply, or to dismiss if not for you, at your own discretion.  While I am excited to provide you with some motivation, encouragement, facilitation of your own wisdom, exposure to coaching and training processes, and provide opportunities to try new methods - YOU will always be the keeper of your story and your truths, and the right to choose what is right for you within your context.   As it should be.

Every course, training, and virtual space is designed with respect for your autonomy and innate wisdom.  My hope is to help you optimize best practices for YOU - to honor your unique path, facilitate your life's vision, identify your strengths and desires, overcome obstacles, and move towards your most meaningful life goals.

 As a practicing psychologist for over 2 decades, I retired from my practice with extensive training in the workings of the human mind and in human behavior.  I formally studied the practice of clinical psychology with an emphasis in the study of diversity and intersectionality. From there, I went on for advanced training in psychoanalysis, and continued professional study in diversity, feminist psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology. 

I have been trained in polyvagal, DBT, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic  psychoanalysis, and interpersonal neurobiology treatment approaches and techniques. 

My passions led me to specializing in interpersonal trauma, particularly adult survivors of childhood abuse and n, lgbtqia communities, and physical abuse, and adults with ADHD.  

 I have a gift for seeing the bigger picture while deeply sensing the unique individual before me. This has always driven my passion for helping those the world misunderstands to see their worth and unique gifts, even against great odds.

This calling led me to a fulfilling career as a psychologist.  I began in West Hollywood during the AIDS epidemic, moved to inner-city Los Angeles supporting working poor and immigrant populations, and worked in a rape crisis center in Compton—witnessing first-hand the resilience of vibrant, diverse communities navigating systemic challenges with hope, faith, and integrity.  I brought these experiences into my work in private practice where I was committed to honoring the true essence and nature of each person. 

These experiences also taught me profound lessons in humility, the many expressions of health across cultures, the importance of true belonging,  and a deeper life force energy that unite us all.  As someone who began life rich in a faith community, they also fueled my passion for experiencing how different spiritual and religious practices shape (or harm) our collective well-being.

BTW - I am a fierce advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, social justice, and reproductive justice. COACH ROMO spaces are designed to be safe and brave spaces for everyone to show up fully as themselves, with respect for all forms of racial, sexual, and gender identity, as well as for bodily autonomy and reproductive choice.
